Baba Ram Rahim Singh Murder Case
The hearing began in a special court of CBI in connection with two separate cases of murder against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and others. The seven accused in this case of murder were present in the court, but Ram Rahim’s body locked in jail was through video conferencing. Singh is lodged in Rohtak jail for being convicted in two cases of rape Sirsa’s journalist Ram Chandar Singh and former Dera manager Ranjeet Singh were notified for the final hearing in the special CBI court of Judge Jagdeep Singh on Saturday. Hearing on the cases of murder of journalist Chhatrapati and Ranjit Singh is on Saturday. On August 25, the same court had declared Ram Rahim guilty of rape with his disciples. On August 28, the CBI court had sentenced Rahim to 20 years of imprisonment for his imprisonment.

Khatta Singh said that ‘I was scared that they would kill me and my son. We were bullied. ‘
Against Ram Rahim, Khatta Singh has again filed an application for filing a statement. Singh was a witness in the case of murder against Ram Rahim and had filed his statement in 2007, but in 2012 it changed his statement. He says that he turned down because of pressure from ‘Baba and his goons’.
Former driver of Ram Rahim, Khatta wants to appear before the court as the main witness. She has changed her statement earlier. The court will decide whether his testimony is needed on September 22 in the case.
The CBI court has started hearing. A large number of Paramilitary Forces and Police force have been deployed in Panchkula.
The second case is linked to the murder of Dera manager Ranjeet Singh, who was murdered in 2002. He was assassinated for his doubtful role in broadcasting an unknown letter. Both the victims of the murder had approached the court, after which the Punjab and Haryana High Courts had ordered CBI probe in November 2003. In the murder case, the CBI filed the chargesheet on 30 July 2007.
According to the prosecution, journalist of Sirsa Chhattrapati was shot dead in October 2002. His newspaper ‘Full Truth’ had printed an anonymous letter stating how the women had sexual harassment at the headquarters of Sirsa.
